Fabulous vintage Snake Belt could be worn as a necklace. Black glossy enamel and Aurora Borealis Rhinestones head and tip of tail is black enamel. Gold tone mesh chain body is very flexible.
~ Era Disco 1970s to early 80s. Whiting and Davis originally made them in the 1920s then in the 40s and 50s. As well as Kenneth Jay Lane has made them and Betsey Johnson. No maker on this one, but likely had a paper string tag
End to end he measures approx. 35 &1/2 inches long.
At the largest you can close and clip him is 34 inches.
And you can adjust him to fit smaller.
~ Excellent Vintage condition with light/average wear to the gold tone metal. Also there is a little bit of glue showing around one of the rhinestone eyes... eye is matching and looks original. This may have been a manufacture flaw or a previous owner repair. Not noticeable when worn unless your looking closely for it.
Great gift for a vintage jewelry collector.
