Please have a look at this late 70s ultra suede dress by designer Beverly Robin for Self Expression. Boxy wide shoulders, a little bit of a bat wing sleeve and a fantastic Pucci inspired pattern bust and neck design. Looks great belted for a more fitting waist!
- At one point in fashion Ultra Suede was all the rage! Top shelf designers Halston, Lilli Ann, Mollie Parnis and many more companies created high quality looks using this branded fabric. But Ultra Suede has not been seen or used since the late 70s very early 80s.
- colors of the dress are blue, green, black, white, pink and turquoise.
- material is Ultrasuede, if you don't know what ultrasuede is imagine a mix of velvet and suede. It is all man made synthetic material.
- up the back zipper closure
- era is very late 70s to early 80s.
- condition is beautiful vintage. There is spots on the inside lining, up on both shoulders. Looks like someone tried to glue in shoulder pads - the spots look sticky but are not. And can not be seen or affect the outer look of the dress. I don't believe this dress originally had shoulder pads, but you could always add some in.
