Stunning 80s black velvet prom, party, cocktail dress. Directly inspired by a 1950s cocktail dress. Large satin bow at the back waist drapes all the way to the hem of the dress. The bust is sweetheart style with a well fitted torso. Torso comes down to a longer peplum or ruffle that is half the length of the knee length skirt. Such a high class couture look. Reminds me of the classic 50s designers Suzy Purette, Ceil Chapman and even Dior and YSL has done a version of this. Zipper closure up the back, then the bow lays over the zipper and attaches with a hook and eye closure. Dress is Beautiful
Excellent condition. The bow has been re stitched to the dress at some point. This is completely hidden by the bow.

OTHER NOTES -- this dress has to ship in a larger box than normal. To keep from bending or damaging the bow. So the shipping is a little higher than average for this reason. Also this dress has some weight to it, the bow alone weighs over a pound.
